After you leave UCI, your UCInetID is deactivated, and resources that you previously accessed using that ID and password are no longer available.
Webmail and your email account
While you are a student at UCI your uci.edu Webmail account is provided to you for educational purposes. After you leave UCI, you may have your uci.edu email delivered to a different email address for two years, after which your uci.edu address will no longer be valid.
When an email account is deleted, all files and messages are deleted as well, and are not retrievable.
Want a permanent email address?
Though you cannot keep your uci.edu address, you can request a permanent @alumni.uci.edu forwarding address.
