Software available in on‐campus labs
Some departments may provide software training to their faculty, staff, and students. Check with your department to learn more or take a look at some of the other on‐ and off‐campus training resources below.
Recommended/supported operating systems
EEE supports all modern operating systems. We recommend that users stay as up to date as possible, not just to ensure compatibilty with EEE, but to maintain a secure computing environment.

Supported web browsers
EEE supports the latest browsers for all modern operating systems. We recommend browsers be allowed to automatically update not just to ensure compatibility with EEE, but to maintain a secure and modern computing environment.
The list of supported browsers can be found on the UC Irvine Office of Information Technology Browser Standards page. You can use any of the supported browser versions (or later) to access EEE.
Make sure you are using a supported web browser by Friday, 8/29/2014, when EEE is scheduled for a security update.
Recommended/supported email clients
OIT supports most popular email programs and provides configuration instructions.
Recommended/supported office/productivity suites
While no specific suite is required, it is highly recommended that one be available to you. On‐campus computer labs provide free access to popular office/productivity suites.
