Use MyEEE Tools

GENERAL INFORMATION

Overview

MyEEE is your customizable home page on EEE. When you login to EEE, MyEEE is typically the first page you will see.

MyEEE has three tabs. The first tab, My Classes, is where you will see your classes listed each quarter.

The second tab, Class Announcements, is where instructors and TAs can post important announcements for their classes.

The third tab, My Tasks, is where you can see the tasks such as quizzes, surveys, and chats assigned to you and the tasks you assigned.

Other than viewing your classes, posting announcements, and checking your tasks, there is a lot more you can do on MyEEE — You can customize the content and layout, add your favorite bookmarks, post a personal profile to share with your students, and much more.

DASHBOARD

Overview

The MyEEE Dashboard view consolidates all information for a single class on a dedicated page with class announcements, instructor and TA photos (if provided), links to class resources, and more.

Access Dashboard

  1. Log in to EEE and go to your MyEEE page.
  2. Verify that you are in the "My Classes" tab.

  3. Locate the module for the class you want to view.
  4. Click Detailed View » to view class details.

You should now see the Dashboard for the selected class.

Class Announcements

Class Announcements

Class Announcements allows instructors and TAs to post short class announcements on their students' MyEEE pages.

When you login to EEE, you will automatically be taken to the 'Class Announcements' tab if there is a new message and the tab will be orange.

If you are already logged in and viewing your MyEEE page, the tab will be orange and labeled with the number of new announcements since your last visit.

If there haven't been any new messages since you last viewed your class announcements, you can click the tab to view past announcements.

Be sure to check your MyEEE page often for new class announcements!

Post an announcement

  1. Verify that you are in the "Class Announcements" tab.

  2. Click Post announcement.

  3. Enter in the announcement text.
  4. Select one or more classes.
  5. Optional: Add a website to link to the announcement.
  6. Click Post Announcement when finished.

The announcement should now be posted.

Edit an announcement

  1. Verify that you are in the "Class Announcements" tab.

  2. Click edit by the announcement you wish to edit.

  3. Make the desired changes.
  4. Click Save Changes when finished.

Your edits should now be applied.

Delete an announcement

  1. Verify that you are in the "Class Announcements" tab.

  2. Click delete.

  3. Double-check to ensure you are deleting the correct announcement.
    Deleted announcements cannot be recovered.
  4. Click Yes, Delete.

The announcement should now be deleted.

Classmates, MyEEE Profile & MyPhoto

Overview

Classmates allows students, TAs, and instructors to share simple profiles with one another.

You control how much information is shared. By default, instructors and TAs with roster access can see the names of students enrolled in their classes. Students only see the names and profiles of instructors, TAs, and fellow students who have chosen to release their information.

Access Classmates

  1. Log in to EEE and go to your MyEEE page.
  2. Locate the "MyInstructorClasses" or "MyAssistantClasses" module for the class in which you wish to view your classmates.
  3. Click Classmates.

You should now be in Classmates for the specified class.

Access your EEE profile

  1. Log in to EEE and go to your MyEEE page.
  2. Click My EEE Profile.

You should now be viewing your EEE profile. To make changes, you will need to edit your profile.

Edit your EEE profile

  1. Access your EEE profile.
  2. Click Manage my profile.

  3. Update your information as desired. You may include information such as your nickname, instant messaging screen names, websites, and more.
  4. Click Save Changes when you are finished.

Your EEE profile should now be updated.

Information release options

You choose how much information you would like to release to your students and colleagues when you edit your EEE profile. Your information release option settings will vary depending on your role in a course. For example, your release options will be different as an instructor as opposed to a student.

Information release options available for your instructor/assistant classes:

  • Release name and email only
  • Release everything

Information release options available for your student classes:

Note: If you choose to release any information, you may also choose to release your photo.
  • Release no information at all.
  • Release name and email only.
  • Release all included information (i.e. My Profile Information and My Contact Information).

About photos

MyPhoto Manager allows you to upload a picture of yourself to your MyEEE profile. This photo will be displayed on your MyEEE page and will be viewable via Classmates if you choose to release your information. You can use a custom photo if you are an employees (with a valid employee ID #). Undergraduate student employees cannot use custom photos.

Add your custom photo

Instructors and staff may choose to upload a custom photo for their profile photo, which will be used in place of their official ID card photo (this option is not available to undergraduate students).

Your profile photo may change, depending on the context. For example, suppose Peter the Anteater is both an employees and a student, and he uploads a custom photo. The cutsom photo will be displayed to co-instructors, TAs, and students for those courses in which he is an instructor. The official ID card photo will be displayed for those courses in which he is a student.

Use a custom photo instead of your official ID card photo:

  1. Starting from Edit My Profile, press Upload a Custom Photo.

  3. You will be asked to verify your identity by logging in with your UCInetID and password.
  4. Press Browse... or Choose File to locate and select the photo you wish to upload

  5. Read the Statement of Ownership & Policy then check the box if you agree to the policy.
  6. Press Next
Your custom photo should now be used as your profile photo. Your official ID card photo will still be available and you can switch back at any time.

Delete your custom photo

  1. Starting from Edit My Profile, press Manage Custom Photo.

  2. Press Delete.
  3. You will be asked to verify this action. Press Yes, Remove.

Your custom photo should now been deleted. Your official I.D. photo should be displayed in your profile and to your students now.

Replace your custom photo

  1. Starting from Edit My Profile, press Manage Custom Photo.

  2. Press Replace
  3. You will be asked to verify your identity by logging in with your UCInetID and password.
  4. Press Browse... or Choose File to locate and select the photo you wish to upload.

  5. Read the Statement of Ownership & Policy then check the box if you agree to the policy.
  6. Press Next.
Your custom photo should now be replaced with your new image. This new photo should now be displayed to your students.

MYEEE BOOKMARKS

Overview

MyEEE Bookmarks allows you to save your favorite websites directly on your MyEEE page. Add as many as you like for quick access to your favorite and most frequently visited websites.

Access MyEEE Bookmarks

  1. Log in to EEE and go to your MyEEE page.
  2. Locate the "MyEEE Bookmarks" module or customize your MyEEE page to add it if you have not already done so.

You should now be viewing MyEEE Bookmarks.

Add a bookmark

  1. Access MyEEE Bookmarks.
  2. Click Add Bookmark.

  3. A box should appear.
  4. Enter a name for your bookmark and the URL of the website.
  5. Click Add Bookmark when you have finished adding the appropriate information.

Your bookmark should now be added to your MyEEE Bookmarks module.

Edit a bookmark

  1. Access MyEEE Bookmarks.
  2. Click Manage.

  3. Find the bookmark you wish to update.
  4. Click Edit.

  5. Update your bookmark as appropriate.
  6. Click Save Changes.

Your changes should now be applied.

Delete a bookmark

  1. Access MyEEE Bookmarks.
  2. Click Manage.

  3. Find the bookmark you wish to delete.
  4. Click Delete.

  5. Double-check to ensure you are deleting the correct bookmark.
    Deleted bookmarks cannot be recovered.
  6. Click Yes, delete bookmark once you have confirmed the bookmark for deletion.

The selected bookmark should now be deleted.

My Tasks

Overview

My Tasks displays all the chat rooms, AssignmentSubmission dropbox folders, evaluations, quizzes, signup sheets, and surveys that have been assigned to you and that you have assigned to others. My Tasks includes each task's deadline and a link to access each task.

Access My Tasks

Accessing My Tasks through MyEEE:

  1. Sign in to EEE and go to your MyEEE page.
  2. Click My Tasks.

You should now be in My Tasks.

Sort your tasks

Sort by various columns:

  1. Sign in to EEE and go to your MyEEE page.
  2. Click My Tasks.
  3. Click the title of the column you wish to sort by.

    This will sort the tasks in ascending order of that column. Click the same text again to sort the tasks in descending order.
You should now have sorted your tasks by your chosen column.

View tasks for an individual class:

  1. Sign in to EEE and go to your MyEEE page.
  2. Click My Tasks.
  3. Click the drop down menu.

  4. Select the class of the tasks you wish to view.
  5. Press Go.
You should now only see the tasks for the chosen class.

View tasks of a certain status:

  1. Sign in to EEE and go to your MyEEE page.
  2. Click My Tasks.
  3. Click the status of tasks you wish to view.

Hide completed tasks

Hide completed tasks:

  1. Sign in to EEE and go to your MyEEE page.
  2. Click My Tasks.
  3. Click the checkbox next to "Hide completed tasks."

You should now have hid your completed tasks.

Complete tasks

Complete tasks through My Tasks:

  1. Sign in to EEE and go to your MyEEE page.
  2. Click My Tasks.
  3. Click the task you wish to complete.

RoomFinder

Overview

RoomFinder provides segments of the campus map and building photos (if available) to help you to find the locations of your classes.

Access RoomFinder

From ToolBox:

  1. Log in to EEE.
  2. Cick Toolbox.

You should now be viewing RoomFinder.

From MyEEE:

  1. Log in to EEE and go to your MyEEE page.
  2. Scroll down to the desired class.
  3. Click the link containing the building and room number.

From WebSoc:

  1. Access the University Registrar's WebSoc.
  2. Look up and locate the class.
  3. Click the blue link in the "Place" column.

Browse classroom lists

  1. Access RoomFinder, from the ToolBox.
  2. Optional: If you know the building name, use the search box in the upper-right.
  3. Browse the list of buildings, ordered alphabetically.
  4. Click Map.

Why am I missing classes?

There are several reasons why classes may be missing. Some of the most common causes are listed below.

Common causes for missing classes:

  • You may be viewing a different quarter on EEE — Switch Quarters
  • Students: You may not be officially enrolled in the class — Student Access
  • Assistants: Your instructor may not have added you in Assistants — Learn More
  • Instructors: Your Department Scheduler may have not added you to the Registrar's Electronic Schedule of Classes (eSOC)
