Welcome to EEE's Basic PowerPoint Workshop
About this Workshop
The goal of this workshop is to familiarize you with the essential features of PowerPoint. When you finish this workshop, you will be able to make a PowerPoint presentation for your class that includes multiple slides with transitions, featuring animated text bullets, notes, inserted images, charts, and hyperlinks. You'll understand how to save the presentation for viewing on a remote computer (the lecture hall for example) and/or upload it to your course space on EEE.
EEE workshops are taught as part of the EEE collaboration. Instructors include members of The Division of Undergraduate Education (DUE), the UCI Libraries, The Office of the Registrar and Network & Academic Computer Services (NACS).
For more information about other EEE Workshops offerings, please visit the Workshops home page at https://eee.uci.edu/workshops/.
My name is Kim Gerrard and I've been working at UCI as a member of NACS for the better part of 2 decades.
My group within NACS, Instructional Web Technologies, is the custodian of the EEE Web site. I am on a team of Web developers who create and maintain this course management system for the campus. I'm the newest to the EEE group, not quite a year.
My background includes a certificate in Interactive Multimedia from UCI's Extension and on-going training in two of NACS' popular services...Oracle Calendaring, Webfiles.
The handout and tutorial is always available to you, here on the Web. And the EEE Team is also here to help! If you get frustrated or have even the simplest of questions... contact us!
