Nomination Process

EEE would like to recognize the innovative work of instructors and teaching assistants at UC Irvine. We have initiated the instructional technology spotlight on the EEE homepage to promote interesting technological developments and quality pedagogical practices.

If you have seen or experienced an instructor using a noteworthy tool or process, we would like to know!

Please contact us and provide the following information:

  • Instructor's Name
  • Term (i.e. Winter Quarter, 2014)
  • Course Code and/or Course Number
  • Description of the noteworthy tool or process

Review Guidelines

EEE welcomes nominations of instructional spotlights from the UC Irvine campus community (instructors, teaching assistants, students, staff and alumni). Once received, EEE staff will review the nomination and, if appropriate, contact the instructor for permission to develop a spotlight and publicize the story!

EEE may post:

  • Unique processes associated with a specific course
  • Exemplary course objects, like websites, online assessments, or creative assignments
  • Classroom techniques that resulted in deeper learning
  • Academic professional development or training opportunities

EEE will most likely not post:

  • Content for which there is an alternate, more appropriate location
  • Content in violation of copyright or any university policy
  • Non-instruction related spotlights

EEE retains the right to grant or deny any request; decisions may be based on available space as well as content.
