Notes:

  1. In addition to Sites @ UCI, OIT also supports Faculty Sites @ UCI, which is a second WordPress option specifically designed for faculty at UCI.
  2. Space for individual websites can be used as it is available. System administrators reserve the option to work with site managers to reducing file-size for a specific website as needed.
  3. In some cases, you can request a specific URL be used as a shortcut for your website. If this would be useful for you, please contact your school’s computing support or EEE (eee@uci.edu, (949) 824-2222)

Additional Options

Each of the four options described above (EEE WebsiteManager, Sites @ UCI, Google Sites, and Webfiles) can be completely configured by an instructor without intervention by instructional technology staff.

In addition to these options, individual schools and/or department might provide webspace for longer term management of a website. Instructors might also consider securing webspace directly through the Office of Information Technology.

If, after evaluating the options described above, you determine that additional features are needed, please contact EEE for additional guidance.
