UCI Arctic Environmental Governance Project

  • Introduction

Arctic Experts Short Questionnaire - University of California Irvine

On the need for additional governance instruments for the environmental future of the Arctic

    Dear Colleague,

Thank you for taking the time to consider this request.

May I ask you to answer a few questions on Arctic environmental governance (law, policy, norms, institutions)? We continue to work on the topic and have encountered many different views on the need for additional and/or different instruments and initiatives. This issue is one of centrality to makers of policy so I am soliciting your expert thoughts.

Would you be so kind to address as many of the following questions as you wish? The survey should take about ten minutes.

I know there is an immense attention to the region now and that your schedule is full. I would not ask for your opinions if I did not think they are of extreme value.

Thank you very much for your consideration.

Joseph F. C. DiMento, JD, PhD
Distinguished Professor of Law and of Social Ecology
